Applications for the Staging and Prognostic Factors Group for the 10th Edition of the IASLC Staging Project

 

The IASLC seeks new and returning applicants to serve as volunteer members of the Staging and Prognostic Factors Group (SPFG) for the 10th edition of the Staging Project: Lung Cancer, Mesothelioma, and Thoracic Malignancies. The SPFG oversees data collection and analysis for the IASLC Staging Project and publishes recommendations for improvements to the TNM classification system. Please read on for more information about responsibilities of SPFG members and instructions for how to apply.

Members of the SPFC and Advisory Board for the 9th Edition of the TNM Classification for Thoracic Cancer are asked to re-apply according to instructions for Current Members below. All other applicants should follow instructions for New Applicants.

Responsibilities and Eligibility

Please click here to read about the responsibilities of serving on the SPFG. Individuals who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply:

  • Must be a member of the IASLC.
  • Must be able to contribute expertise relevant to the goals of the Staging Project.
  • Must be able to contribute cases to the IASLC Staging Database, if a clinician.

  • When prompted to log in, use your IASLC Member Portal credentials.
    • If you do not know your credentials, click on the "Reset your Password" link to recover your user name and/or reset your password. If you are still unable to login, please email membership@iaslc.org. 
  • Complete the online form, including the following information:
    • Contact information.
    • IASLC membership information.
    • Demographic information.
    • Biosketch. Please use this template. Nominations that do not include a Biosketch using the provided template will not be considered.
    • Responses to a number of short-answer questions designed to help determine your suitability for serving another term for the IASLC Staging Project.
  • Once you have started your form, you may save your work and return to the form to continue working or complete your form any time prior to the deadline.  

To be considered for re-appointment for the IASLC Staging and Prognostic Factors Group, you must complete the full Nomination Form by Monday, May 27, 2024 at 5:00pm Denver time (MST).

    • Endorsement from one other IASLC member - The system will request the endorsement on your behalf from the member you indicate and it will be uploaded directly into your application.
    • Responses to a number of short-answer questions designed to help determine your qualifications and suitability for contributing to the IASLC Staging Project.
  • Once you have started your form, you may save your work and return to the form to continue working or complete your form any time prior to the deadline.  

To be considered for a new position in the IASLC Staging and Prognostic Factors Group, you must complete the full Nomination Form by Friday, June 21, 2024 at 5:00pm Denver time (MST).
